Q:  HOW TO RECEIVE A NEW NFT.

If you win an NFT, or someone wants to give you an NFT, what should you do?

A:  PROVIDE YOUR CRYPTO WALLET ADDRESS.

You need to provide your crypto wallet address in order to receive full ownership of it.  More on that HERE.

Q:  HOW DO I VIEW AN NFT THAT I HAVE RECEIVED IN MY WALLET?

When you receive an NFT in your wallet, it seems you can't do anything with it in the wallet, nor find out anything about it.  Also... you may have this problem - where your NFT was transferred to your wallet, but you cannot see it in your OpenSea account, sell it, nor transfer it from your wallet.  It may even appear as if you don't own it.

A:  START BY MARKING IT AS A FAVORITE.

Since we originally wrote the answer to this, Coinbase changed it's website.  So these are updated instructions.

  1. If you do not have an OpenSea link to your NFT, go to it's profile page on our website.  You should be able to find that via the RDO NFT SHOWCASE.
  2. Once you have your NFT's profile open on our website, click the link to the NFT Marketplace.
  3. If you see a collection, then enter the exact name of the NFT  in the SEARCH BY NAME OR TRAIT search box.
  4. Once found, make sure you are viewing the same one you own, because some of them are listed by edition or world number.
  5. When you are sure to have the correct one, tick the heart above the photo of the NFT.

Now when you go to your OpenSea profile, you will find it under FAVORITES.  This will help you find it later. You need to do this so that you can view it's specs, sell it, or transfer it.

NOTE:  At the time of this writing, NFTs stay connected to the Collection where they were originally minted.  That is where you will find a pic of your NFT, which links to it's profile page.

Q:  HOW DO I SELL OR TRANSFER IT?

A:  GO TO THE NFTs PROFILE PAGE.

To sell or transfer it, go to the NFT's page, then click on the SELL button, or the TRANSFER icon (looks like an arrow, and located right under the SELL button on a laptop or display).

Q:  HOW TO FIND THE TRANSACTION HASH (UNIQUE ID OF THE NFT)?

A:  WELL...

If you received a Certificate of Authentication with your STHW NFT, then you will want to record the "TRANSACTION HASH".  This shows your unique ownership of this item, as it is created at the time of the transfer or sale. The other numbers are shared by all editions of the NFT itself.  To find it, do the following:

  1. We first need to know the TOKEN ID.  This should be on your STHW Certificate of Authenticity - or it can be found on the OpenSea profile page for your NFT. It's better to find it on OpenSea because it is like a zillion characters long. Thus, you can just copy it to the clipboard.  So  search by the exact title of the NFT, or by the name of the collection.  Once found, just leave that tab open. We will come back to it in a bit.
  2. Next  go to...    www.polygonscan.com
  3. In the SEARCH window, change "ALL FILTERS" to "ADDRESSES"
  4. Now search by your wallet address.
  5. By default the search results are set to "TRANSACTIONS".  It may say "There are no matching entries".  Ignore this.
  6. Next, click on the tab for "ERC-1155 Token Txns". Now the results will show all ERC-1155 txns you have been involved in.
  7. Locate the TOKEN ID in the list.  Find the transaction you are looking for by using the TOKEN ID noted earlier.
  8. Click on the TXN HASH.  This “Transaction Hash” is the unique identifier for the transfer of however many units of this NFT to the receiver.
